What gets counted
The tool reports character, word, and line tallies for pasted text. JavaScript-style counts differ from "grapheme cluster" counts: skin-tone modifiers, ZWJ sequences, and some emoji can span multiple code units even when they look like one symbol. For platform-specific limits (X, LinkedIn, SMS), always verify in the real composer; use Text size calculator when you need byte size for UTF-8 storage, not just visible length.
When to use it
